Just when I thought this was going to be the  week for sure…we had a winner! I have to admit, that this one was really pretty hard too! The photo is, of course, the sign for the Beach Park Plaza shopping area at the corner of Beach Park and Marlin. Since the last 2 weeks foto contests were so embarrasingly easy (or so I heard from both Lydia and my wife Lesley!) I thought I’d raise the bar a bit this week. Well, I think it’s safe to say that Friday’s contest was just a tad bit too easy! I actually thought it was going to be a little obscure! Scenic, huh? It’s actually one of the reasons Foster City is a special and unique location here on the Peninsula. Not too many places where you can go out to eat and sit right on the water. I want to know either the name of the restaurant in the foreground with the outdoor seating or the covered restaurant in the middle. We know from a past contest what the outdoor establishment on the far end is anyway. Oh, yeah…I want to know the name of this shopping center too. This sign sort of says it all. Yes, it’s Harborside townhouses. The project is just south of Beach Park and east of Shell Blvd. It really is a great project (but they do need to paint that sign, huh) and the waterfront units are terrific. I was a little surprised at the response this week…I guess alot of us notice that stained glass. It’s, of course, the US Bank in Charter Square at the corner of Beach Park and Shell. I’ve always sort of marveled at stained glass, it really is an art form. I drive by this work all the time and always glance at it. I don’t think it’s anything famous or anything like that, but it’s pretty…and it’s nice to look at. If you read my post from yesterday your thinking “before it was slasher horror films, now it’s stained glass…this guy’s weird!”. What can I say? I’m well rounded!
