New Beginnings

I always think of this as the strangest time of the year. It’s that first week in a new year…it’s weird. I always forget when writing checks and put thye wrong year in. I just can’t seem to get used to the change. What is particularly hard is the awareness that the year is new and I have to go back to work! The boulder  is at the bottom of the hill again and it need to be pushed uphill! I hate that feeling because it seems exhausting…and I really haven’t even begun yet.

It’s 2011. I haven’t sold a house yet. I have to prove it all over again. I think, no matter what business we’re in many of us have that same feeling right about now. The good news is, I found 2010 to be a significantly better year that either 2008 or 2009 and I’m hopeful that 2011 will be a good year too. It certainly was encouraging that the last few months of 2010 were solid and strong with regagrd to the market’s strength. I’m hoping that bodes well for the first quarter of this year…just like it did for last year.

At any rate…it’s a new beginning. New beginnings mean new hope. As I’ve said so many times before, I think our area is a truly remarkable and wonderously blessed place and many many people want to live here. Our market has endured what I believe to be the worst it’s going to and we’ve begun a period of normal growth. Foster City is a wonderful place to live and that’s certasinly not changing. 2011 will be yet another example of the proof of that.

Happy New Year everyone! All the best to you for an fantastic 2011!
