My friend, and fellow blogger,  Chuck Gillooley with Alain Pinel sent me this interesting article about the passing of one of Foster City’s founders, Bob Foster. Mr. Foster passed away on the 1st of October at his home in Virginia at the age of 78. I’m sure plenty of people are unaware of the history of this community and the huge role the Foster family had on creating this town. I thought it was interesting to learn that Bob Foster was responsible for overseeing the reclamation of the land, which included the importation and placement of over 18 million cubic yards of fill.  Wow, that’s a pretty interesting legacy in this town!

Anyway, here’s a link to the story in the San Mateo Daily Journal regarding Mr. Foster’s passing.
