Funky Foto Contest Week 49

bridge2

Unlike all the other bridges, you really can’t go directly underneath this one…so I did the best I could. This particular structure is unique in Foster City for one simple reason, and that’s essentially the question today. Where is this bridge? All the rules of the road are available to view on the bar above as well as on the left hand margin. This week’s winner will receive a $30.00 gift card to Chevy’s in Edgewater Place…or whereever else you may be around here for that matter. The winner and all other correct answers will not be published until Monday morning. All humorous jokes, smart alecky quips or comments and all wrong answers will be published ASAP. Have a great time today and an equally great weekend!

OK, more formally – the bridge over Marina lagoon on East Hillsdale Blvd. 🙂

  5. A truck driver was driving along on the freeway. A sign comes up that reads, “LOW BRIDGE AHEAD”. Before he knows it the bridge is right ahead of him and he gets stuck under the bridge. Cars are backed up for miles.

Finally, a police car comes up. The cop gets out of his car and walks around to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, “Got your truck stuck, huh?”

The truck driver says, “No, I was delivering this bridge and ran out of gas.”

By the way…good job on the blog brawl! We’re #1!

  19. SteveTinFC says:

I’m probably too late on this one, but I believe this is the E. Hillsdale overcrossing of the San Mateo Slough just as you leave Foster City approaching Norfolk in San Mateo. If I am correct, and if I had time to log on earlier, I would have been eligible to win. For you see, this bridge is actually not located in Foster City, it is in San Mateo, and it is under the City of San Mateo’s jurisdiction.

If I’m wrong, then you got me J-Dog!
