Funky Foto Contest Week 43

It’s going to be interesting to see how hard this weeks foto is to determine. It’s a pretty commonly used “objet d’art” in various depictions of Foster City that I’ve seen. The question is…where is it? If you can tell me what it is I’d be interested too, but the “where” part is what’ll get you the prize. Oh, by the way, the prize this week is a $30.00 gift card to Plaza Gourmet Deli at Edgewater Place. All the rules of the road are available to view on the left hand margin or on the bar above. The winner and all correct answers will be published on Monday morning. All funny and unfunny jokes, semi rude comments, silly banter and all wrong answers will be published ASAP. Have a great weekend!

  1. Yet again, I am foiled. I decided to spend 5 minutes hitting “refresh” for this week’s photo, ready to get back on the scoreboard. But alas, this photo is on City property, which renders me (by my own rules) ineligible to participate. Drats…

  2. For the record, it’s the seagull at Leo Ryan Park along E. Hillsdale Blvd, across from Long’s and 989 E. Hillsdale Blvd. But I can’t win, because it’s a City amenity.

  3. Well, that is obscure. I’m stumped.

  4. Is it a statue of a bird in Leo Ryan Park?

  5. Seriously? Dana is stumped? Wow, great job Jim! 🙂

  6. Easy. The bird sculpture at Leo Ryan Park.

  7. It’s somewhere in Foster City?

  8. Close Ching! Maybe a little more specifics are needed?

  9. Erika Jahnke says:

    Leo Ryan Park

  10. hi Jim, Is it in Metro center complex…..

  11. Jim Minkey says:

    Nope, sorry! Keep trying…

  12. This is part of the wing of a bird in Leo Ryan Park next to the recreation center.
we can see the full picture of this bird in at the very bottom.

  13. It’s at Leo Ryan Park.

  14. Lorelei Keim says:

is it the statute in the fountain at the corner of Shell and Foster City Blvd?

  15. Jim Minkey says:

She’s one of the BEST realtor’s in the area folks! Ummm…except FC Blvd and Shell don’t intersect and there’s no fountain anywhere near either street. Could these little directional challenges could possibly pose a problem whe showing property?

  16. It looks like the sculpture in Leo J Ryan park
