Funky Foto Contest Week 28

Looks sort of like a lighthouse, huh? Except for the lack of an actual light I suppose. Anyway, the obvious question…what and where is this? I have no doubt that for alot of you it’s real familiar. This weeks winner will receive a $30.00 gift card to Chevy’s over at Edgewater Place. Just place your answer in the comments area below. All of the rules of this game are available on the left hand margin and on the bar above.  I’ll publish all correct answers on Monday morning but you can be sure that I’ll print ASAP any and all quips, barbs and decent jokes (particularly if they involve the bailout, Congress, Wall Street or the Bush Adminstration). I’ll also publish all wrong answers as fast as my little fingers can moderate. Thanks so much for your patronage! Good luck, have fun and have a great weekend!

    Here is my math – 700 000 000 000 000 / 305 207 097 = Whoa! it’s $2 293 524 per person!!!
Jim, you tell me if this is enough to buy a Foster City house and park a new roadster in front fo it 🙂

  14. I would have to guess this is Brewer Island School

  15. Richard,

If they were asking for $700 trillion (12 zeros), your math would have been spot on and we would have potential future liabilities to the tune of $2,293,524 per person or the equivalent of a single family house in the bay area. 🙂

However since they are asking for $700 billion (still a terrible idea), the liability works out to $2,294. Thankfully we are adding one new person to the population every 9 seconds and hence when the time comes to pay, the burden will be distributed some more, not to mention the equity stake that some members of the congress are discussing.

  16. Two women were walking through the woods when a frog called out to them and said: “Help me, ladies! I am a stockbroker who, through an evil witch’s curse, has been transformed into a frog. If one of you will kiss me, I’ll be returned to my former state!”
One woman took out her purse, grabbed the frog, and stuffed it inside her handbag. The other woman, aghast, screamed, “Didn’t you hear him? If you kiss him, he’ll turn into a stockbroker!”

The second woman replied, “Sure, but these days a talking frog is worth more than a stockbroker!”

  17. Angela Vermeer says:
