Funky Foto Contest Week 22

No, it’s not the White Cliffs of Dover. Sorry, just trying to think outside of the box a little! This week I’m looking for you to identify what this is as well as where it is. You’ll have the opportunity to really show your “stripes” as a Foster City expert this week! (Sorry, another bad joke…I’m on a roll!) All the rules of the game are available to view on the left hand margin as well as on the bar up top. This weeks winner will receive a $30.00 gift card to Portofino Grill at Edgewater Place. Any and all correct answers will be published on Monday morning. Any fair to good jokes, barbs, semi obnoxious comments and all wrong answers will be published ASAP. Have fun and good luck!

  4. Hi Jim … this is the sitting area in the amphitheater at Leo Ryan Park.

  5. The amphitheater at the Coliseum Leo Ryan park.

  6. Bill Hastings says:

The Seats/Steps at the amphitheater in Leo Ryan park.

  7. Are those the steps on the grass at Leo Ryan park?

  8. This one is way to easy!! Lucky for you, I’m ineligible. 😉

  9. Jim Minkey says:

I’m never sure which ones are easy and which are not. I actually thought this one would be a little hard! What do I know?

  10. Are these the steps by the amphitheater (Leo Ryan park) ?

  11. It’s the steps that you can sit on facing the amphitheater at Leo Ryan park.

    Leo Ryan Park Outdoor Amphitheater

  15. It is the slabs in the amphitheatre near the rec center.

  16. It’s amphiteater steps in Leo Ryan park

  17. It’s the seating area by the lakeside amphitheater in Leo Ryan park. Notice the nice fake grass.

  18. Steps in the amphitheatre area in Leo J. Ryan Park.

  19. The reason that I recognize the area is that we’ve gone to many events there … as a matter of fact, we’re headed there tonight for the free Foster City Summer Series “Friday Evening Concert” in the Park. Bring your family and friends … it’s a great event from 7pm to 9pm at the Amphitheatre in Leo Ryan Park. Bring a picnic or buy something there. Either way, join Foster City for another fun concert.

  20. It is the open concert area at “Leo J Ryan Memorial park” at Hillsdale & Shell.

  21. SteveTinFC says:

I’m too late and ineligible, since it’s a City amenity. But welcome to the Leo Ryan Park Amphitheatre, where at this present time, a Rolling Stones tribute band is wrapping up the last of the Summer Concert Series to a packed crowd! And here I am at home installing software on my new Mac Mini. A life I need to get … hmmmm? 🙂

  22. Patrick Au-Yeung says:

it’s the turf at Ryan Park? Is that the name? That waterfront auditorium thingy on East Hillsdale, a few steps from the Senior Center, something like that.

  23. Looks like the place at amphitheater near Lagoon.

  24. Probably too late but I think it’s the Bocce lanes at Leo Ryan park.

  25. SteveTinFC says:

Uhh … Jim, the driving range mentioned in Pete J’s guess is located in Foster City, not San Mateo. Mariners Point Golf Course is in Foster City on land owned by the City of Foster City, leased to VB Golf to own and operate the golf course. For what it’s worth my friend. 🙂

  26. Jim Minkey says:

Now that’s some good info! I always thought it was on 3rd in SM right there! That’ll open the door to a future photo contest opportunity! Thanks Steve (aka Mr. Foster City!)
